Archaeological Site of Izapa
It’s considered one of the largest ceremonial centers in the Soconusco region. In the site of Izapa 161 structures were built in a pretty extensive area, around a dominant point, the major monticule.

Located 12 km from the city, heading to Tuxtla Chico, Tapachula, Chiapas.
Archaeological Museum of the Soconusco
The place where this museum is located is the area that used to be used as the Penitentiary of the Municipal Palace of Tapachula. Its goal is to show us part of the pre-hispanic history of the region, since its first people.
With that in mind, you’ll see several pieces from different archaeological sites, mainly Izapa, highlighting the estela 25 and a skull of gold and turquoises.

Coffee Route Tour
It’s one of the most fascinating experiences when it comes to alternative tourism in Chiapas. You’ll walk the roads among the jungle vegetation to get to the coffee plantations that offer tours to learn the processes of production of coffee. Nowadays, only 4 coffee plantations of the 13 available offer tours.
Santo Domingo Tourist Center
It used to be a plantation; the Casa Grande of this center is a typical construction, built in 1920 by the German Enrique Braun. The surroundings have the typical setting of what the coffee plantations used to be. Now you can enjoy the architecture, spend the night in one of its 10 guestrooms, enjoy horseback rides in the surroundings or buy some arts and crafts.

Playa Linda and Los Pozuelos Lagoon
Chiapas stands out for its landscapes and the amazing biodiversity of its coasts, which have beaches and charming lagoons like Playa Linda and Pozuelos.
Playa Linda is the favorite for locals because the ample beach and fine sands; it ends in a place called Pozuelos Lagoon, where the mangroves grow. In them, herons and a great diversity of aquatic birds live.
